The Energy of Life is probably the most cryptic and minimal series of artworks of Maestro Roggi; moreover, it is a fundamental leitmotiv in almost every sculpture by the artist.

This subject is represented by a perfect golden sphere which is impenetrable, thus it reveals itself as an insuperable enigma as Kafka’s castle, since that sphere cannot be open without losing its very essence.

What the Energy of Life offers is a mysterious shell which reveals only the reflection of those looking at it, giving back distorted and mutating images at every movement.

Life is a florid and marvellous enigma – Roggi seems to say – because it is an unalienable part of everyone and because it is the engine of the abiding evolution of everyone. Life mutates as people, in every moment, inexorably and deeply.
